Wimax in AustraliaPreviously I asked the question "Why WiMAX" and explained why I thought the Telcos won't like it terribly much. After not much investigation it seems that the WiMAX spectrum in Australia is licensed to Unwired an ASX listed company (UNW is the ASX code) . Let me make it perfectly clear that I am NOT a financial advisor in any shape or form but I am surprised their share price has not shot through the roof over the last twelve months. Unwired seem to have most of Sydney covered already. Given that WiMAX is soooo much better than WifI for coverage and infrastructure costs I would have thought investors hungry for the next tech boom would be pouncing on this stock.
