I've been researching this podcast / videoblogging phenomena for quite a few weeks now. And now.... weeeel I'm ready.
My main delay has been issues with Mambo, my open source Content Managment System and it's ability to generate enclosures in it's RSS feed.
I've decided I'll create the feed manuallly until I make it a priority to automate it!
My vodcasts will be variety of styles. From 1998 until 2001 I had a daily streaming video news show called IOB CoffeeBreak . It was syndicated into AOL, Yahoo, Real Networks and MSN et al. So I have no misconceptions on how difficult it is to produce video for the net on a regular basis. However I'm going to try a number of different ideas along with my acting buddies. I don't mean to say that I'm going to try my acting buddies although I probably already do that, what I mean is.... oh never mind.
Back then we only had to create Real and Windows streams... now we have real, MS, QT, MP4, MPEG, and a new open source format called NSV (Nullsoft Video) brought to you by the creators of Winamp.
So it will be interesting. ..... |
