Appear on the front page of GoogleHow do you do it? I used to get asked this question a lot when I was on ABC Radio 774. Well as I have found out over the years there is a real science to it. Web developers refer to it as Search Engine Optimisation as do the practioners of this particular endeavour. However most Australian business owners with a website have no idea what you call it, they just know they are not appearing in the search engines. They know that their Google Ranking is way to low but the don't how to increase their Google ranking.
This site appears on the front page of Google and on the front page of ninemsn.com.au search page, for the keywords and keyphrases that I want it to. I'm not going to tell you what those keywords and phrases are though! That is all part of SEO strategy. If I were to tell you what those keyphrases were then I could be targeted by my competion.
I have been a Internet Consultant for over 10 years and people are always asking me how do I appear on the front page of Google? If you have a couple of months to spare all the answers are on the web, however for those of you in a hurry I will be conducting workshops in Australian capital cities over the next several months. The workshops will be geared at business managers. We will be taking a non competitive approach to the workshops i.e. if hardware store A books a place then we will not take a booking from another hardware store. There will be only 50 places in each workshop.
